Elena Selezneva

Elena is a concert pianist and teacher, laureate of Russian and international competitions, a jury member of many international competitions and a member of the Argerich Alink Association of Competitions and Festivals.

Graduate of the Russian Academy of Music. Gnesins, majoring in piano.

 

 

 

Elena Selezneva began studying music at the age of 6 in Klin (the city where P. I. Tchaikovsky lived and worked) at the Tchaikovsky Music School. The first teacher was her aunt, a student of the famous pianist Viktor Bunin. From the age of 8, Elena begins to give concerts and at the age of 14 she becomes the winner of the first prize in the competition of the Moscow Region. During this period, the basic principles of sound extraction, work on the form and content of the work are laid.

 

Later, Elena studied with wonderful teachers: Arutyunyan G.T. at the Moscow Regional College. Prokofiev and Malinina I.V. at the Russian Academy of Music. Gnesins.

Elena passes on the traditions of the Russian piano school to her students. Elena leads an active concert activity, performing music of various eras and styles.
